The Jamestown Community College Swimming and Diving team opened their season on Saturday in a quad meeting against Monroe, Genesee, and Erie Community Colleges. The women's team was third and the men's team was fourth. "While we had hoped for a better finish the swimmers and divers had some promising individual efforts" head coach Mike Giambruno stated. "It was our first meet so we understand that the season is all in front of us and we have plenty of time for improvement. We hope and I expect better performances from all our team members" Giambruno said.
On the men's side the Jayhawks 200 medley relay team of Alex Beckerinck, Matt Caldwell, Charlie Simons and Karsen Terry were second in a time of 150.56. Konnor Bryant was fifth in the 200 individual medley in 2:28.64. Charlie Simons was third in the 500 free in 5:45.21. The 200 free relay of Konnor Bryant, Charlie Simons, Alex Beckerink and Matt Caldwell were second in 1:38.69.
