ORCHARD PARK — Jamestown Community College (7-7) lost a 3-2 heart-breaker in overtime to Erie CC (9-3, 10-4) in a NJCAA Region 3 Division III women's soccer game on Wednesday.

The Kats' Sam Carey tallied the game winner from Hannah Baracki after the hosts tied the game with 36 seconds remaining in regulation when Baracki scored from Carey.

The Jayhawks, who received a red card before the tying goal, played the final 15 minutes short-handed.

Christian Bowker scored from Courtney Hewes to give JCC the early lead at six minutes of the first half. Erie CC tied it at 1-1 when Rachel Fiore scored unassisted.

Alexa Dix converted a corner kick from Tayler Morrison at 50 minutes of the second half to put JCC back in the lead at 2-1.

However, ECC got the tying goal with time running out in regulation and got the winning goal with five minutes left in overtime to pull it out.

Madison Jomes made four saves for Erie CC, which was ranked No. 3 in the nation. Rebecca Butcher had eight saves in the JCC net.

JCC returns to action Saturday at Broome CC.
