Jamestown Community College has announced that Ken Ricker has been hired as the college's new golf coach. Joining Ricker on the coaching staff will be Denny Fellows.

In June, Jamestown Community College will host the NJCAA Division III Golf Championships for the 20th consecutive year at Chautauqua Golf Course.

"We welcome Ken to the coaching staff here at JCC and look forward to his intensity to not only develop our group of players currently, but look forward to Ken's desire to build the program in numbers in the future," said George Sisson, Jamestown CC athletic director. "We feel that our golf program has a lot to offer players from our geographic area. It allows them to develop their game and have a chance to play on the national stage at the end of the season."

The 2019 season will begin on Friday, April 5 at Highland Park Golf Course hosted by Cayuga CC. The Jayhawks will participate in 12 tournaments prior to the Region 3 Championships in mid-May. On May 3, Jamestown CC will host its own invitational at Chautauqua Golf Course.

"I have been interested in returning to be a Jayhawk again for a long time,"Ricker said, "and when the opportunity to be a part of the program became available, I was so excited."
