Softball Early Bird Camp set for January 19-20

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Community College softball team has announced its Early Bird Camp on January 19th & 20th, Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend.

The camp will be held in the Physical Education Complex on Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus. For each attendee, the program will cost $50 and includes a camp T-shirt in registration fee for all participants. At the camp, the JCC coaching staff will go over pitching, catching, hitting, fielding and base running.

This program is open to 8-18 year olds and are encouraged to participate. Each attendee should bring their glove, athletic apparel, indoor athletic shoes, bat, helmet and anything else you may need.

Camp is scheduled to be from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Registration will take place in the lobby of the Physical Education Complex at 4:30 p.m.

The camp will be run by Jayhawk Softball Coaches Shelby Overturf and Tabatha Stenstrom. Overturf is the Defensive and Strength & Conditioning coach for the Jayhawks. Stenstrom is the Pitching/Catching Coach along with being the Offensive Coordinator.
