JAMESTOWN, NY - Teddy bears blocked out the lights of the Northwest Arena as the sky filled with stuffed animals after the Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's hockey team scored its first goal on Saturday, all part of their annual event to collect donations for Toys for Tots.

The Jayhawks and their fans donated over 400 teddy bears thanks to the event, where fans threw the stuffed animals onto the ice of Northwest Arena after the first Jamestown goal.

As for the rest of the action, JCC took down the University of Rochester 8-2 in front of an electric home crowd.

This is the Jayhawks' third straight win to get them back above .500 on the season at 7-6.

Jamestown returns to the ice on Saturday, December 6th, at Alfred at 7:00 PM. JCC is back home at Northwest Arena on Friday, December 12th, at 7:00 PM, when they host Fredonia State University.
