Jayhawks' Valorant Team Snaps eSports Losing Streak

OLEAN, NY - The difficult month of November continued for Jamestown Community College (JCC) eSports as they dropped a pair in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Allie Langston had a match against the Luzerne County Community College Trailblazers (LCC). LCC would go on to win the best of 7 by a score of 4 wins to 0.

Pattie Best, also Mario Kart, had a best-of-7 series of races herself against Danville Area Community College (DACC). The DACC Jaguars won 4 races to 0.

Both women fall to 0-2 on the season and will look to find their first win on Thursday, November 21st, at 6:30.

Those losses were quickly vanquished by the Valorant team who snapped the gamers 12-game losing skid in the month of November.

For the third time, the Jayhawks found themselves up against Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). NOVA previously bested JCC in the last two meetings, but this time we were able to squeak out a 2-0 series win.

In recent weeks, we have found ourselves coming back from major deficits of 5-7 rounds down but failing to close it out. This time, however, the Jayhawks never trailed by more than 2 rounds and won Game 1 by a score of 13 rounds to 11 and Game 2 by a ratio of 13-10 to put the Jayhawks back in the win column.

Captain Joshua David led all Jayhawks with 43 kills and posted his best assist counter this season (9). While most rounds went the distance with kills this evening, Jamie Jimerson led the team in the objective category with 5 bombs planted, 1 defuse, and had the least amount of deaths (25).

The Jayhawks Valorant team improves to 2-3 on the season and will look to start a win streak to even out their record next Thursday, November 21st, at 7:30.
