Jayhawk Gamers Stumble Early, but Bounce Back to End the Week
OLEAN, NY - Bretten Schreve was handed his first loss of the season in a best-of-seven against Rose State College (9-1). Bretten took game 1 by a score of 3 knockouts to 1, but RSC would take games 2, 3, and 4 by scores of 3-2. Bretten forced a Game 6 with a 3-1 win in Game 5, but ultimately RSC would seal the deal with a 3-2 win to take the series 4-2. Bretten fell to 3-1 with the loss and looks to rebound next Tuesday, March 25th. 

The Jayhawks' Mario Kart woes continued this week as Allie, Luthaya, and Phoenix lost their respective best-of-seven matches. Luthaya lost 4-0 against Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (2-2), Phoenix lost 4-0 against Luzerne County Community College (1-3), and Allie lost to Rose State College (8-5) by a score of 4 races to 0. 

The Rocket League squad was registered for a match, but an odd number of teams registered left us a bye week. The team sits at 1-1 for the regular season.

Bretten rebounded for the Jayhawks (3-1) with a win over Bismarck State College (0-3). Bretten would win the series 4 games to 0 with scores of 3-0, 3-0, 3-1, and lastly 3 knockouts to 0 to take the series. With the win, Bretten improved to 4-1 on the regular season and cracked the Top 20 nationally for the second semester in a row out of 168 participants. Bretten continues his march for a Top 10 finish next Tuesday at 6:30 with his opponent TBD.
