eSports Making Deep Playoff Run Behind Schreve in Super Smash Bros

OLEAN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) eSports team is in the midst of a deep playoff run in Super Smash Brothers thanks to Bretten Schreve.

Heading into the postseason tournament, Schreve (5-1) represented the Jayhawks, ranking 20th nationally among 178 Super Smash Brothers Ultimate competitors. Following a bye in Round 1, Schreve faced Lorain County Community College (3-5 regular season) in Round 2. He dominated the best-of-five series, securing a decisive 3-0 victory with match scores of 1-0, 3-2, and 3-2.

In Round 3, Schreve encountered a significant challenge against the nation's number one ranked player from North West Arkansas Community College (21-2 regular season). Starting strong, Schreve quickly built a 2-0 series lead, winning both initial matches by scores of 3-2. NWACC briefly rallied with a 3-1 win in the third match, but Schreve swiftly extinguished any hope of a comeback, clinching the fourth match 3-2 and sealing the series victory 3-1.

Schreve now leads the Dirtybirds into Round 4, set for Tuesday, April 22nd, at 6:30 PM EST against Dallas College - Mountain View.
