Jayhawks Battle One Another in Unexpected Mario Kart Twist

OLEAN, NY - The beauty of eSports is that you can log on to your console and battle anyone in the world, or you could get paired up with the person sitting in the room with you; that is exactly what happened to Phoenix and Luthaya Beard in their Mario Kart racing this week. 

Jamestown Community College is part of a pool of over 100 players taking the sticks, and despite the long odds, it was the Beards getting matched up against one another.

In the end, it was getting the best of Phoenix with a 4-1 victory in their best-of-seven contest. With the win, Luthaya improves to 1-6 on the season, while Phoenix falls to 0-7, but both have a fun story to share over Thanksgiving.
