MARCELLUS, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) golf coach George Sisson couldn't have scripted a much better outing for the Jayhawks at the Onondaga Invite on Saturday, with Reid Olsen (77) capturing the men's first-place medalist award and Cadence Rogers (118) earning the ladies' top spot.
For Rogers, it was a weekend sweep, earning the honor at both Onondaga and Tompkins Cortland.
As a team, the JCC men finished 5th overall out of nine teams. Aside from Olsen's 77, Jamestown saw a 90 from Cole Johnson, 91 for Jaxson Faulk, 93 for Kyler Wojtowicz, and a 97 from Daniel Peterson. While Olsen was the only Jayhawk to break 90 for a qualifying score for regionals, Jamestown has several golfers knocking on the door for one of the coveted regional championship spots.
The Jayhawks and the rest of the regional golfers are back on the course on Friday, April 17th, when they visit Hudson Valley.
