FREDONIA, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) runners competed in the Kara Hall Memorial XC Invite on Saturday morning.
The women hit the course first, with Aubrey MacDonald and Arryanna Bardo competing in their first ever 6k. "Despite the warm weather and the added distance, they both held their own against some very stiff competition," said head coach Darion Gregory. Bardo came through in 31:00 and placed 58th overall. MacDonald wasn't too far behind with a 33:22 and placed 66th. "Both women are showing tremendous improvement week after week and showcasing a strong competitive spirit," added Gregory.
On the men's side, Carson Dunn ran the 8k in 34:47 and placed 100th. "Carson (Dunn) continues to race with maturity and confidence," said Gregory. "The team walked away from this meet with a lot of good lessons in training and racing strategies," he added.
JCC is back in action on Saturday, October 11th, for the Highlander Invite at Houghton College.
