Jayhawk Trio Finishes Cross Country Regular Season at Highlander Invite

HOUGHTON, NY - Rain and wind couldn't slow down the Jamestown Community College (JCC) cross country team, with the trio of Jayhawks making the trip to Houghton College for the Highlander Invitational Saturday morning.

On the women's side, Arryanna Bardo ran a 28:27 in the 8k and placed 161 out of 188. This is over two and a half minutes faster than what she ran last weekend at Fredonia State University for the Pre-Regional Meet. Aubrey MacDonald ran a 32:01 and placed 177 out of 188. That's one minute and 27 seconds faster than last week. "Week after week these girls improve and beat better runners," said head coach Darion Gregory.

For the men, Carson Dunn ran 32:25 and placed 197 out of 213. This is a breakout race for Carson, improving over a minute on his PR and cutting over two minutes off his time from last week.

"The whole team competed extremely well today. I saw a laser focus and intense competitive drive from all the runners. This race puts us in a good position to run well at the regional meet," added Gregory.
