JCC Ladies Bounce Back with Emphatic Win at Lorain

ELYRIA, OH - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) women's basketball team bounced back from their first loss of the season with an impressive 85-43 win at Lorain County Community College Thursday night.

After the game started tied 4-4, JCC won the rest of the opening quarter 22-2, with Ashlynn Delcamp doing a lot of the damage on her way to scoring 18 points to go with six rebounds. 

JCC didn't slow down after the break; freshman Tru Billie continued her torrid pace, scoring five straight points to push the advantage to 37-11. Billies poured in a game-high 21 points as well as eight rebounds.

Jamestown's lead was pushed over 30 in the third quarter off of a Lailah McGary offensive rebound and triple. She also scored 18 points with eight rebounds.

The Jayhawks saw their lead soar to 76-28 through three quarters before extending playing time to more of the bench.

JCC closed the game with an 85-43 victory to move to 5-1 on the season.

They are right back on the court on Friday night when they host Corning Community College at 5:00 PM.
