JCC Men Open Conference Play with Difficult Road Loss

ROCHESTER, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's basketball team played arguably its worst game of the season in its conference opener at Monroe Community College on Saturday afternoon.

Jamestown found itself in a double-digit hole about halfway throught the opening half, a deficit they couldn't dig themselves out of in the 105-63 defeat.

The Jayhawks struggled from the floor, shooting just 23% from three and 27% from the floor, plus committed 20 turnovers en route to the loss.

JCC sophomores Federico Foddai and Keyvone Craig were bright spots for the road team. The duo each scored 17 points, while Foddai added 13 rebounds to the box score. Those two were the only Jayhawks to hit double-figure scoring in the game.

The loss knocks Jamestown to 10-7 on the season, 0-1 in conference action.

JCC has a chance to bounce back on Wednesday, January 28th, when they host SUNY Niagara at 7:30 PM in another conference showdown.
