JCC's Josh Harrison Continues his Soccer Career at Alma College

JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College's (JCC) Joshua Harrison (Bannerman HS/Glasgow, Scotland) is furthering his athletic and academic careers at NCAA Division III Alma College in Michigan, where he will pursue a bachelor's degree in business management.

Harrison spent the last two years with the Jayhawk. He was part of the squad that appeared in regional semifinals in back-to-back years.

"I had a great last two years, and Pat (Coach Anderson) was a big help for me when I first got here," said Harrison. "The second season especially, we found that we all bonded together, and then I think I've matured as a player overall, even though I was injured for a while," he continued.

Harrison had many personal highlights of his two years, but one stands out above the rest.

"Beating Jefferson 3-1, I think it was in the playoff semifinal in my first full season. I was injured my second full season for the playoffs, so, yeah, it was a good day," explained Josh.

Despite being injured for most of his sophomore campaign, Harrison was also a vocal teammate on the sidelines. It's that feeling of being part of a bigger process that Josh will miss the most.

"I think just like how it's a community, everyone is close to each other. The faculty, including all your teachers, you can go speak to whenever you want," he stated. "It's been like, really life-changing moving here, at least for me, finding that whole community to talk to," Harrison added.

The Alma Scotts Men's Soccer team opens their season on Saturday, August 16th, with a scrimmage at home vs. Lake Michigan College.
