JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) continues to fly high in Region 3 men's soccer with a 5-0 win over Erie Community College on Wednesday, improving their league mark to 4-0.
The Jayhawks netted a quick 1-0 lead off of the foot of Jack Morris as he finished the pass from Casimiro Espeso Gayte in the 8th minute.
It continued to be a one-goal game into the 30th minute when Braidan Govan scored his fifth goal of the season to make it 2-0 Jamestown. William-Amaro Correia Gomes picked up the helper which was a theme of this one.
In the 35th minute, JCC added another on a tap in from Espeso on another assist from Gomes for a 3-0 Jayhawks lead going to the break.
Things were stuck at 3-0 until the 78th minute. Once again it was Gomes with the helper, this time to Sam Hynes for his first of the year and a 4-0 edge for the Dirty Birds.
Jamestown's Alfie Moynihan capped the Jayhawk's scoring with his first career goal. It was Espeso adding another assists for his sixth helper of the year.
The win moves JCC to 4-0 in Region 3 action, 4-1 overall.
Jamestown is right back on the home pitch on Friday, September 5th at 2:00 PM, when they host Lakeland Community College.
