DRYDEN, NY - It was a tale of two halves for the Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's soccer team, who fell 5-4 on the road to Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Sunday afternoon.
JCC ripped off the first four goals of the game to build a 4-0 first-half lead. Those tallies came from Curro Rivas, Liam Doyle twice, and Javier Jimenez. Jamestown was riding high going to the break, not only leading by four but also having come off of a win and a tie versus top five teams in the nation, but that's when it all fell apart for JCC.
In the second half, the Panthers were able to pot five straight goals to get the one-goal win.
The loss moves JCC to 10-6-1 on the season.
Jamestown now prepares to host a Region 3 playoff game on Saturday, October 25th, with a location and time to be determined.
