SANBORN - In their final dual meet of the season, the Jamestown Community College wrestling team fell to Region 3 foe Niagara County Community College, 31-12.

The Jayhawks (1-3, 0-2 WNYAC) fell behind early in the dual as Matt Ash got the 15-6 major decision over 125 pounder Marcus Evans (Randolph, NY/Randolph HS).

Taige Jones (Bemus Point, NY/Maple Grove HS) tied the score up at 3-3, getting the 9-8 tie breaker-1 victory over Zach Ash.

Carrying the momentum, Trenton Donahue (DuBois, PA/DuBois Area HS) continues to show his dominance in the 141 pound weight class, coming away with the 7-2 decision victory over Cole French to put JCC up 6-3.

NCCC would start to pull away in the dual, winning the next three matches by decision, giving them the 13-6 lead.

Ross Abram (Eden, NY/Eden Central) got the last win for the Jayhawks in the dual meet, coming away with the fall over Casey Cooper.

In exhibition action, Evans, Jones, and Andrew Bungar (Hermitage, PA/Hickory HS) all picked up victories via falls. Jesse Storch (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads HS) also came away with a win, getting a 15-5 major decision victory.

The Jayhawks will be back in action next Thursday, April 1st, as they host the NJCAA Eastern A Districts. Action is set to start at 8 p.m.
