JCC Wrestling goes 1-2 at Pitt Bradford Quad Meet

DUBOIS, PA - Jamestown Community College (JCC) wrestling opened its 2025-26 season by heading down I-86 for a quad meet at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.

The Jayhawks started the event with a solid 23-18 win over Elmira. Wyatt Bryman, 149 pounds, had a great showing; his 9-0 major decision put JCC up for good in this matchup. Shayne Irvin, 157 pounds, followed him with another major decision, this one 13-0. Joshua Kriger, 285 pounds, finished the bout with an 11-5 decision to secure Jamestown's five-point victory.

Things didn't go as well for the green and gold against Utica. Bryman once again claimed a win with a pin at 3:32 to get JCC on the board. Evan Leonard, 165 points, joined the win column in this showdown, taking his match by fall at :58. Kriger also locked down a pin at 5:37, but it wasn't enough, as the Jayhawks lost 41-18.

Jamestown struggled against Pitt Bradford, falling 47-3. Brad Smith, 184 pounds, earned JCC their only points of the event with a 7-4 decision.

The Jayhawks now get ready for the Defend the Lake Duals hosted by Garrett College on Friday and Saturday, November 7th and 8th.
